Great little place
Great little place. I wouldn't call it "boutique". The rooms are clean and look to be recently updated but very small, the only place to watch TV from was sitting on the bed, the only place to put a suitcase was on the desk. The pool area is very nice.
You get the idea that they read a list of things that a 5 star hotel would have but don't quite carry it off: Concierge desk Check (but no one staffing it), Restaurant with Spa Cuisine Check ( yogurt parfait had approx 2 cups UNSWEETENED yogurt 5 blueberries and 1 tbsp granola), Front desk staff able to make tee times Check (but no one knew how to get to the golf courses they recommend).
All the rooms face out onto the parking lot rather than the pool area and you enter from the outside rather than a central hallway. The Atheltic Club next door is very nice with a large number of classes. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant "OC 7" but you are 5 minutes drive from all the restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale so why would you eat at your hotel no matter where you are staying.
We would stay there again for the price, location and overall atmosphere.
